2003 Château Chasse-Spleen

Community Tasting Note

Tuesday, June 14, 2011 - Drank over two nights, with and without food. Dark ruby-amber color. Thin fast legs. Nose is musky with oak, cassis and fresh-turned loam. Palate is acidic, thin and weedy with excessively drying tannins. Little fruit. Finish is austere and shrill. Needs more body and less structure. I must be missing something, or have a bad bottle, as I feel this wine is dull (flavor-wise) and has very little excitement or interest.
