Don't let anyone tell you to dismiss the '07 vintage in hand. Make no mistake, there are good wines and they are approachable now. Here's a perfect example, and I suspect that it did benefit from the additional air. Brilliant nose of creme de cassis, pencil lead, high toned, leather, damp earth, subtle wood. Contrary to a few notes, the palate was right there with the nose, translating it beautifully, creme de cassis, raspberry, earth, pencil lead, tobacco and sleek dusty tannins on a long finish. Far better than I hoped for 92+ to 93pts.
