Friday, July 2, 2010 - Splash decanted for 20 minutes. I think Yamadori nailed this pretty well. Blackcurrant, plum and tobacco leaf on the nose with an increasing menthol note as the wine evolved. Medium bodied with blackcurrant and plum fruit profile. Some secondary notes of tobacco and a little spice. Great minerality and acidity which extends through the 30 second finish. Tannins are unobtrusive. Very good but the fact that Robert Parker rated this an 89 prevents this from being a 90 pt wine for me.
