Sunday, September 1, 2013 - Decanted for about 1h but took more like 2h to fully open up. Soaked cork / wet on the top but comes out in one piece- after a pretty bad 88 again not the best experience with cork quality of Calon Segur. Beautiful smell of sous bois however immediately after pulling the cork. Garnet with slight bricking at the rim. Initially barnyard, then earth, dark fruit, a fair bit of cedar, leather and tobacco, spices and a touch of chocolate. Almost fully integrated tannins. Nice medium plus finish. An excellent mature Bdx even though not my very favourite style (too much cedar and spices for me). 92-93
