Saturday, January 2, 2016 - Last of a case bought en primeur. Tobacco and blackcurrant with some farmyard notes(which I like and are still present) but still too tannic until it peaked in 2010. plateaued for 6 years and has now started downhill. Liquorice nose with a good complexity and weight of soft fruit and decent length. The bell pepper thing is a slight negative but overall it's hard to believe this is a 20 year old 5th growth. Excellent. large formats would be great now.
