Monday, August 15, 2016 - Orange/brown rim. Prunes and dark plums on the nose. Again prunes on the palate, resolved tannins, smooth. Prune eau de vie indicates more than the 13.50% alcohol advertised on the label - there is alcohol burn on the back of the mouth. Serve colder than you would normally due to the spiky alcohol. This is a bit cooked in style. Mid palate lacks body. I agree with other tasters that this is disappointing and seems to be on the decline - I have had much better Bandol from smaller, less well know producers such as Lafran-Veyrolles.
