Thursday, November 29, 2012 - Pnp. An impressive effort for the vintage and this Haut Bergey continues to develop well. Dark garnet. Barnyard, earth, black fruit, a light touch of oak. A rich and very round, creamy palate. Surprisingly for an 07 I keep thinking this wine could do with a bit more structure. Fine tannins only appear towards the finish. Medium finish.
Becomes more herbal after about 1h of air. Drinking well now but can certainly last for several more years.
PS: Rest of the bottle on day 2 seems more structured and also a bit more tannic. A fairly extracted wine but with good balance overll
