Sunday, September 6, 2009 - Consistent with previous note in March. A lovely Sonoma Coast Pinot nose is followed by a balanced, elegant, but not wimpy palate, albeit one that stays within a moderate range of flavors with a moderate finish. In other words, exactly the kind of bottle you hope for from a appellation level wine: drinkable now, drinkable for a few years, with a decent QPR. I never for a moment considered a score less than 90 or over 92. It is what I think it was meant to be, and that's a good thing.
