Friday, June 27, 2014 - Dark purple on the pour; nose of dark red and black fruits, pepper, spice, leather, cassis and violets; palate of vibrant dark fruits, pepper, toasted leather; very juicy and very smooth; tannins are becoming nicely integrated and but show plenty of life; nice acid and semi-long finish.
While this wasn't terribly complex, the wine was nicely made and pleasure to drink over several days while not losing its character or typical Howell Mountain profile.
