91 Points

Friday, December 11, 2009 - from 375ml, decanted vigorously. Wine is clear, youthful, dense, opaque purple core to a ruby rim, very little variation. Moderate+ intensity. Healthy, moderate - intensity on the nose with soft, velvety primary aromas of strawberry, black cherry, fig preserves, rose, sous bois and stone. On the end of the nose the alcohol is present with licorice and spice. The wine on the palate is complex already, though it is just a baby. Moderate intensity, moderate + acids, soft but structured tannins, balanced alcohol, moderate + finish with juicy primary notes of dark fruit, glycerine, garrigue, anise, wonderful florals and soft spice leading into a candied finish. Great wine, very accessible now and should only improve over the next 5-10 years....Will buy again.
