Thursday, December 8, 2011 - From .375. Decanted 3 hours and drank over the rest of the night. This wine was completely shut down at first. I was getting little to nothing on the nose and the palate. I actually opened up an additional bottle to have with dinner as drinking the Telegraphe at that point would have been a waste.

After about 5 hours some fruit began to show through and by about midnight (8 hours in decanter) it was a VERY good wine. There was fruit galore. My biggest complaint with this wine and many of the 2007 CDPs in general is many of the secondary or tertiary flavors that make CdP great get lost in the waves of fruit from the very warm vintage, even in places that are bastions of tradition such as the with the Brunier family and the Telegraphe. Not to say that this is bad, it is more a reflection on the vintage and my taste. Still, this wine is quite delicious and will continue to improve for 10-15 years minimum.
