Saturday, May 18, 2013 - The nose is roasted black fruits, with licorice root and spice elements. The palate is medium + bodied, with roasted fruits, a bit of spice and a bitter note on the tail end. The finish lasts for almost a minute....Dark and brooding on both the nose and the palate, the structure is surprisingly approachable but balanced enough for continued ageing. I opened this on a whim to see how it was progressing...long story short: accessible with air (and/or food) but should go for another 5-7 years + without a problem.
