Friday, March 10, 2006 - Expressive, "modern" nose of black almost jammy fruit, spices, black coffee, chocolate, graffite and liquorice. The palate is big and expansive, but with classical Bordeaux restraint and elegance. Good balance between fruit, tannins and acidity. Not too sweet, somewhat dusty ripe tannins, ripe black fruit, refreshing citruslike acidity, herbs and spices, liquorice etc. The aftertaste is maybe a bit short for so big a wine. But all in all certainly a very good wine that's drinking well already.
