Monday, May 26, 2008 - Thick glass, took a few whacks to sabre. Vigorous mousse, yellow with a hint of copper. Very one dimensional. Muted nose. Fairly bitter, and not in a good way. Tart. Dosage must be very low, an interesting choice as a bit more sugar would help mask some of the less alluring qualities present. Alcohol (13%) is apparent. Finishes with lingering green pear, probably the most appealing feature of the wine. But hey, this is from Mendoza.
