Monday, July 20, 2015 - Popped and poured. Drank over 1.5 hours.
Appearance is clear, medium ruby going garnet colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of dark red cherries, sweet baking spices, cola, roasted earth/coffee/cocoa. Developed.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol, medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet dark red cherries, ripe strawberries, licorice, cola, mint, baking spice, chocolate, slight roasted earth. Long finish.
Very good quality. Complex. Probably at peak of drinking window. Drink up. A less brawny, relatively elegant expression of the Pisoni Vineyard.
