Sunday, June 14, 2015 - Darkish red/purple. The branaire 2000 is full of lively and vibrant young berry fruits. Dark raspberry, blackberry and cherry leaps forward on the expressive nose immediately after opening. Palate is flavorful yet weigthless displaying the essence of St. Julien, the effortless balance between power and elegance, between ripe fruit and acidic bite. Damn delicious but despite its youthfull flavors, there is no agressive backbone left and it seems quite smooth and not as long on the finish as i would ahve thought.
