Saturday, July 18, 2015 - Chateau Calon Segur Vertical Tasting (Crystal Wines shop, Valley Point): From a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot. Bottle breath without decant.
Intense dark red with crimson hue. Soft elegant nose of tobacco, black fruits, some leafy notes, and licorice.
Smooth entry already mellow down. Exhibits blackcurrant, blackberry, minty leafy characters, subtle tobacco and toasty oak. Good substance on mid-palate with chewy finish in a good length.
