Thursday, November 25, 2010 - Pretty much pop and pour, left in glass for about 20 minutes before trying. Deep, dark purple color. Intense and rich on the nose with pepper, brambly berries, baking spices, violets, minerals, and just a bit of vanilla in the background. Medium body with ripe, chewy tannins, and very good acidity. On the palate the fruit is a bit more red than on the nose. Nice finish with just a touch of spicy oak adding to the pepper. Man, this is delicious stuff. Absolutely no hurry to open remaining bottles.
