Friday, March 26, 2010 - Had this at L'Escale in Greenwich CT, with ALine. Decanted for a little under an hour, after which some bouquet came through but palate failed to open up. Tannins very astringent and tightly coiled; palate one-dimensional, dominated by wood. Unlike the first growth Ornellaia 2006, which I tasted a few days ago, this needs a few more years of cellaring to be even approachable.
