Sunday, May 2, 2010 - Drunk at Palazzo Sasso in Ravello. Bottle was opened and decanted at the table. Enjoyed over 2 hours. In contrast to a bottle 6 months ago, this was absolutely singing. Dark, almost black to the rim. Not much on the nose but exuberant, deep, blackcurrant/cassis fruit on the palate. Really wonderful palate but obviously quite a way to go yet given the structure kicking in on the mid palate with a slightly spicy/spiky finish. Now I understand AG's rating. Just hope my bottles at home all turn out like this one in Italy.
