Saturday, September 5, 2009 - Saturday Tasting Group (Knightsbridge Wine Shop (Northbrook, IL)): Cloudy uncious stew-like blend of spicy red fruit, dried herbs, earth and light pepper.
Bay leaf, sage, dark cranberry and cherry aromas with a classic Southern Rhone palate.
Finish is ultra streamlined and extremely elegant and enjoyable.
This is a wine for the ages. The definition of a classically made Chateauneuf.
Wonderful. Probably my favorite CdP to date.
