Wednesday, November 13, 2013 - The Wehlener Sohnenur from a couple of weeks ago was slow to open up and was dense and creamy. This one is completely different: Right out the gate it's fully open for business. Aroma are of honeysuckle and... kiwi? framed by the faintest hint of petrol. The acidity is quite intense and immediate, not the slow buildup of the Wehlener. Finish is also a bit drier. I'd say this one is a better food wine based on the fact on its immediate power of putting out the fire of spicy food. It's more linear, clear and piercing.
