Sunday, August 21, 2011 - A very good to excellent bottle, which blossomed over a three hour period, and therefore was probably consumed several years too early, especially given it's exceptional bouquet. In marked contrast to my previous two bottles, this was dark, still showing slightly unresolved tannins, albeit silky ones, and was just a bit monolithic on the mid-palate and finish which was a bit shorter than ideal. Still elegant, with cassis, tobacco, currants, and a whiff of volatile acidity. A classic "old-fashioned" California cab. Must buy more.
