1955 Château Latour Grand Vin

Sunday, December 13, 2015 - A vibrant ruby-garnet, the 1955 Latour exhibits a perfumed bouquet of redcurrant, dried berries, cedar wood and walnuts. On the palate the wine is sweet, ripe and penetrating on the palate, with bright acids and melted tannins, but shows some signs of fragility after a few hours. A mature treat, but I imagine other bottles could be better.
