2007 Jemrose Viognier Egret Pond

Community Tasting Note

Monday, April 9, 2012 - This was tasted next to the same vintage of Vernay Condreiu, to help create a comparison. The Jemrose far surpassed a wine far more in price and lineage, which says a lot about the Jemrose quality and ability to hold flavor and age. Shows some of the glycerine and oily texture with a spicy fennel note. Mandarin orange and lime, too. The spicy quality, with orchard like fruit and limey acid on the finish. Aging very well and for me, no signs of slowing down. Flat out excellent.
