Monday, April 12, 2010 - This is about the 8th or 9th bottle I've had of this and if nothing else, it's consistent. It takes awhile to open up and is pretty rich and dense at first opening. It tames down after a few hours and starts to shed some fat. Lots of black pepper throughout with VERY dark fruit and decently integrated alcohol. Somewhat one dimensional and could pass for alot of other high end syrahs. Love the wine and think it will improve with age so I'm going to have to try to keep my hands off the rest of my stash for awhile. Preferred the Raven grenache.
