Sunday, December 5, 2010 - Dark purple and heavy in the glass. Big nose with dark fruit, smoked bacon, bramble, cocoa powder and herbs. Same on the palette in rich, thick and consistent layers all the way thru the long finish. Though some detectable heat gets in the way. Decanted for an hour and paired with pork.
