Saturday, September 1, 2012 - Aerated with Vinturi and decanted for 1.5 hours. A beautiful nose of raspberry, blackberry, spice, vanilla, and tobacco. An amazing mid-palate with waves and waves of jammy berry fruit and soft fine tannins. Leads to a very long, velvety, rich finish. Full bodied with outstanding balance and depth. A great wine. Paired with beef tenderloin and a mushroom sauce.
