Sunday, December 20, 2009 - Decanted 1.5 hours, and enjoyed with garlic rubbed filet mignon and grilled asparagus. Deep, rich plum color with no sign of deterioration. Developing bouquet of blackberry, cassis & some cedar – very nice. Dark and well concentrated on the palate with good structure and plenty of fruit dominated by black cherry, and nice secondary pipe tobacco notes. Dusty tannins are still present, but nicely integrated. Medium to long finish. I really enjoyed this bottle - a perfect steak wine.
