2000 Château Cantemerle

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

89 Points

Thursday, June 18, 2015 - Slightly better than previous bottles, this has developed into a charming wine, if somewhat one-dimensional, so possibly worth a punt at the right price.

I had a batch of ‘83 half bottles, which I purchased from a professional wine storage facility/retailer/auction house in Chicago in 2018. They had been stored at the facility for a client since being purchased as a future. I drank the last of these in 2020, and it was still a very elegant and satisfying wine that was in decline, perhaps, but in no way dead.
