90 Points

Tuesday, November 10, 2015 - The best (least objectionable at this stage) of the '06 - '09 poured side by side. Still absolutely massive, new oak, dry oak, balsa wood, glycerin, varnish, underripe blackberry, black currant, bourbon, vanilla extract. No real nose to speak of. Unapologetically striking on the palate with tight black and blue fruit and alcohol. Gigantic and intensely gripping tannin. The most 'approachable' of the four although this should be laid down for another 20 years as well.
