Wednesday, April 30, 2014 - WOW! What a pretty bottle of wine. Pop and pour. Singing from the git go. Beautiful translucent garnet color. This wine over delivers by a country mile. It provides immediate gratification but yet sports the structure to continue evolving. This is the 8th bottle from a case and the best to date (sort off regret drinking the others earlier). Not only delicious but affordable. To think I bought this beauty for ~$17 per I could kick myself for only buying one case. The wine has delicious dark fruit, some earthy notes, cassis and plenty of underlying tannin to support further development. Long lingering finish. I would say it is just now entering prime time and will be at peak for at least another three years. This wine personifies why I love Rhone blends and really believe they are the best deal out there on a bang for the buck basis. Double WOW!

5/2/2014 5:06:00 AM - I agree with you. It is hard to beat them as far as bang for the buck. The trick for me is finding the ones that are more rustic, rather than modern in style. I generally enjoy the Coudoulet bottling though, especially the 2010.
