Friday, July 3, 2015 - PnVnD. Very similar nose as last time around, with the ripe red berries, iron, and tuberose dancing around. This time around, the wine was served at 69F and it was a completely different. Much more masculine, drying tannins prevalent, and the 15.8% ABV is much more apparent. Despite having this with some grilled burgers (which matched well), I prefer this on the cooler side at about 60F where its much more elegant and the alcohol is in check. So give it a chill before serving.

The cork was totally soft and completely fell apart when opening, but fortunately it did its job and the wine was not corked. Enjoyed in a Riedel Vinum Chianti Classico glass at 69F.
