Thursday, May 14, 2015 - It doesn't get much better than this for syrah (or for wine, for that matter!). Completely opaque and dark. Pronounced nose of leather, tobacco, meat, smoke, quite complex. Full-bodied flavors, but acid, fruit and tannin perfectly balanced. Just a bit of "bite" back of the tongue. Very long aftertaste with some anise. Perfectly drinkable, but should last for years.
