Sunday, February 22, 2004 - So - is it as good as the rumours say? No, it is better!! Blue-ish appearance in the glass, with a huge bouquet on notes of shoe-plish and tar - almost like a Barolo. After about thirty minutes the bouquet went more in the direction of roasted coffee and cigar box. Fresh, well-defined, structured and large bodied in the mouth. Packed with sweet, ripe tannin, and a deep, dense core of fruit. This is simply superb with many facets, excellent balance and long, long aftertaste.
