2000 Château Lagrange (St. Julien)

Community Tasting Note

93 Points

Wednesday, July 7, 2010 - Consumed from half bottle. This continues to round out very nicely. It initially showed some of the sweetness that I saw in this wine in its early days, but with some air it just smoothed out into a seamless St. Julien with appropriate proportions of oak, deep purple/ruby color, black fruit and lead pencil. Very, very enjoyable drinking right now, but it will continue to develop nicely for another two decades. A very balanced wine. The best Lagrange ever?*
