2000 Château Lagrange (St. Julien)

Community Tasting Note

91 Points

Sunday, September 7, 2003 - Tasted unblinded at 2000 Bordeaux horizontal at the home of Marshall Banker. Bright disc. Opaque purple robe with violet rim. Clean nose, showing moderately intense plum, kirsch, vanilla and blackberry aromas. After two hours of aeration, a slight vegetal note enters the picture. Full-bodied on the palate, with ample sweet tannins, medium-to-high acidity and similar black fruit flavors as for the nose. Long, slightly tart finish.
