Wednesday, December 2, 2009 - 14.5% ABV. The nose on this Shiraz showed a chemical note. My wife suggested it smelled like "blue markers", for me it came across as more of a pickle/vinegar note. Some cedar, vanilla, and dark fruit compote notes also. Medium full bodied tangy and a bit oaky with more of the pickle suggestion. Not horrible, but not great either. Flawed bottle?
