Sunday, August 8, 2010 - 6.5/10 - Beautiful bouquet of blackberries, dark cherries and cassis with a nice hint of oak. Palate, however, did not match up. Tannins were heavy, astringent and grainy. A bit too much heat as well. Underneath the tannins were some nice elegant fruit without the bomb. Think it's too early to write this wine off but don't think I'll be opening up the rest for a few years to come.
