Wednesday, October 27, 2010 - This is the first time I've ever had a dead arm. I was pretty impressed by this. Still a baby, it took hours and hours to really open up. My girlfriend and I thought it was pretty cool that she could smell the fruit from the glass from about 5 ft. away from where I was sitting. Very dark and almost black in color. There were lots of blackberries, blueberry pie filling at the core to this wine with meaty and gamy undertones. I'm not so sure if this was the best shiraz I've ever had, but it was certainly one of the better. Excellent quality to this wine, and you will certainly get your money's worth if you pick one up. You could keep it in the cellar for a decade, I'm sure. I can't wait til I open another in a few years from now. 4 stars out of 5.
