Sunday, April 5, 2015 - A stunning pinot noir that is showing wonderfully. Nose develops over the course of a couple of hours in great ways: initially very floral and light, but within an hour shows deepening dark cherry, blueberry aroma, still mixing with darker floral notes. The palate is bright and nicely acidic at first, and becomes darker over the next couple hours, with an earthiness mingled with some background spice, more dark cherry notes and ongoing balanced acidity. Very pure pinot noir, with no evident manipulation and no evident sense of oak. One of the best expressions of this grape. Definitely not near any peaking point heading downward. I'm moving my drinking date out another year to 2017, since next year's deadline seems too close.
