I actually think the wine is drinking better now than ever. It's inky black in color with surprisingly little bricking. If I hold it in the right light I can see clear still on the rim. The bouquet is subdued, which is unfortunate, and I don't know why. Tannins are still present but integration of the flavors has occurred, which is different than the past. This is an enjoyable wine.
