Saturday, May 26, 2012 - 14.1% ABV. Mostly translucent dark garnet in the glass. Leafy mocha nose with a touch of cocoa and metal. Medium bodied (med-full?) with somewhat tangy red berry fruit. Revisiting the nose, there is a slight veggie note with air, but it is not really off putting. Perhaps disappointing in the sense of the purchase price and time in cellar, but this is surprisingly in a pretty good place given the vintage and bottle age.
