Friday, April 5, 2013 - I'm so glad I cellared this for a few years as it's currently drinking as well as I ever expect it too. Red currant, tobacco, leather, ripe blueberries and blackberries on the nose follow to the pallet with lead pencil, forest floor and a tonic-like mineral quality featuring loads of tangy, rich fruit upfront without being cloying or over the top......the definition of a fine Bordeaux-like Napa Cab. The tannins are at a near perfect stage allowing a bright fruit attack on the front pallet and a firm backbone both mid and rear sporting a lovely 30-40 sec. finish. I can't imagine this improving much more. 95 is a high score for me, but this warrants it. Great QPR now rewarding the patient. Cheers!
