Friday, January 29, 2016 - Barolo and Burgundy dinner - 79 Cristal, 89 & 93 DRC Ech, 05 RSV, 10 Rousseau CdB and etc. (The Grill Room at Capella Hotel Georgetown): Soft sweet yellow fruit driven nose, lemon, white peach, smoke and mineral. Excellent concentration, despite being fat and round, bright acidity and strong mineral presence provided the nice precision and balance. Interestingly, some resemblance to the Lafon version where the Perrieres was closer to the Coche version with a strong matchstick/gun flint note. It is drinking nicely in very youthful way.
