Sunday, April 25, 2010 - Drank this way too young but still an enjoyable experience. Decanted and had the wine over 2 days. Once this one got some air, it was very silky, almost approaching seductive. The nose was fragrant, offering licorice, sugared blackberries, and at times, a little barnyard funk. The palate was more austere with blackberry, earth and pepper notes. The tannins were dry and somewhat obtrusive on the finish, and the alcohol was noticeable at the end. Overall, this wine has great upside potential, and I would love to try it again in another 5+ years.
