100 Points

Friday, December 3, 2010 - This is how a friend of mine described this fine wine after I served it to him blind: "Tonight it finally accured to me what complexity is in a wine. To see how Clos des Papes 07 can go from extreme amounts of hint of blackberry and blackcurrant on the noose with a hint off the more flavourfullness u get in vines from US and Australia, to more sweet english liqurice on to more raison, plum, prune like you get from portwine to end up in in pebar and burnt mocca . This complexity is nothing you can find ind wines from the US and Australia - somewhat a revelation for me and think, I feel happy that I said no to Amon Ra 2003 which I rate at 98-100, because Clos des Papes 2007 is a clean 100 points for me. GREAT WINE! (sorry for my spelling - I hope you get the sence of what I was trying to write :-))
