Saturday, October 17, 2009 - Verticals of BC wines - Burrowing Owl Cab Sauv, Black Hills Nota Bene, Osoyoos Larsose Grand Vin (Sharon & Guy's): Plastic cork. Clear ruby core of moderate intensity. Clean nose of (mostly) sweet toasted oak with some cherry notes. Dry on the palate with moderate acidity, alcohol, body and mod+ chewy tannins. Lots of cherry and raw oak flavours - sawdust or oak staves?. Simple and boring - not a lot of room for development. Short finish of mostly oak and vanilla.
