95 Points

Friday, October 14, 2011 - Divine! I've been eager to try this before it shuts down for a couple of years in the cellar, awaiting a grand opening beginning 2013. Dense purple in the glass, with dark ruby edges. A deep, complex nose of plums, figs, and earthy loam. The first tantalizing sip luxuriates across the palate, in smooth waves of dark berries and silky tannins. Even as a youngster, Pegau hints of the glorious maturity yet to come.
