Sunday, February 21, 2010 - Tasted blind with a French wine maker who guessed Chardonnay! She loved the great balance of the oak, medium weight, lime, white peach, and fresh, acidic finish. Since they stopped using Semillon fruit in the blend this wine has gotten much better and I believe it will last longer than 2006 and prior vintages - it is now 100% estate and I believe biodynamically farmed. Either way, this still has stuffing for another year and a half say but is an absolutely perfect aperitif wine right now. N.B. let the wine warm up a bit in the glass and you will be richly rewarded - serve it too cold and it will be too closed.
